Sensoji Temple is a sacred Kannon shrine with almost 1400 years of history. Pass under the iconic Thunder Gate of Sensoji Temple and you’ll see the 250-meter-long Nakamise Dori leading up to the shrine which is always bustling with visitors.

The temple grounds also hold a number of other interesting things to see, such as Hozomon, the Treasure House Gate which is decorated with giant straw sandals, or a five-story pagoda. Sensoji Temple has become an iconic landmark that blends into the traditional downtown Tokyo.
