Rooms and Accommodation

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 3:00 p.m., and check-out is by 11:00 a.m.
Guests who make a reservation through the official website can enjoy late check-out until 12:00 noon.

What kinds of rooms do you have?

There are 7 types of room at the hotel. In addition to 33 double rooms, 11 twin rooms, 110 twin rooms with extra beds, 11 triple rooms and 11 Japanese-style rooms, we have one wheelchair accessible room. The wheelchair accessible room and Standard Double rooms have a bathtub, and all other rooms have a functional layout featuring separate showers, sinks and toilets. Do all rooms have internet access?

Yes, at karaksa hotels free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and throughout the hotel.

Do guest room TVs have HDMI ports?

Yes, HDMI ports are available on the TVs in all guest rooms. However, depending on your device, compatibility is not guaranteed. All TVs are 40 inches in size.

What channels are available on guest room TVs? Also, is it possible to watch TV programs in languages other than Japanese?

Local channels and satellite (BS) broadcasting are available in all rooms. We are sorry, but multilingual programming is not available.

Is smoking permitted in any of the rooms?

Smoking is not permitted in any guest rooms, including vaporizers and e-cigarettes. However, smoking areas are available on the first and second floors.

Do you have a special rate for children?

Our apologies, but we do not offer a child rate. Children seven and above will be charged the same rate as an adult. Children six and under are also charged the same rate as adults if they require a separate bed.
Guests who make a reservation through the official website will receive a special offer of a free stay for children 12 and under who are sharing a bed with their parents. However, a maximum of one child per adult for each bed, and a maximum of two children per room.

Is there a charge for children who share bedding with their parents?

Children six and under may stay at the hotel free of charge if they share a bed with their parents. However, a maximum of one child per adult for each bed, and a maximum of two children per room.
Guests who make a reservation through the official website will receive a special offer for a free stay for children 12 and under who are sharing a bed with their parents.

Do you have pajamas for children?

Yes. We have sizes for children who are 70 cm, 90 cm, 110 cm, and 130 cm tall. Please ask at the front desk if you would like a pair. However, please note that the number is limited.

Can minors stay alone?

Minors (ages 17 and under) are not allowed to stay at our hotel alone or with other minors without submission of a consent form by their relevant parent or guardian. For minors that would like to stay, please download the consent form from the link below, fill it out, sign it and submit it to the front desk on the day of check-in.
You can also send the form to the hotel in advance by postal mail.
Please note that you are required to submit one consent form per minor guest.

Can pets stay at the hotel?

We are sorry, but we are a pet-free hotel.

Can service dogs stay at the hotel?

Yes. If you plan to bring a service dog, please inform the hotel in advance at the time of booking.

Is the hotel wheelchair accessible?

Yes. The entire hotel is wheelchair accessible.

Do all rooms have a minibar and fridge?

The rooms do not have a minibar, but they do have a fridge. Please note that the fridges do not contain drinks or other items.

What amenities are available in the rooms?

Toothbrush sets, cotton sets, shaving razors, body towels, hairbrushes, hair elastics, and shower caps are available at the amenity bar on the first floor.

Are skincare sets available in guest rooms?

Skincare sets are not provided in guest rooms, but they are available at the amenity bar on the first floor.

What items are available on request?

We keep the following items for temporary use by our guests. Should you wish to borrow any of these items, please ask at the front desk.

Restaurants

What time is breakfast served?

A buffet-style breakfast is available from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the restaurant on the first floor. Please be seated by 9:45 a.m.

Are outside visitors allowed to eat breakfast at the restaurant?

Breakfast is available to general customers. However, seating is limited and we do not accept reservations, so please note that you may have to wait. The price is 2,200 yen (tax included). Kindly pay at the front desk on the day you dine.

Facilities and Services at the Hotel

Can luggage be left at the hotel before check-in or after check-out?

Yes, you can leave your luggage at the front desk on the first floor.

Is it possible to send luggage to the hotel before arrival?

Yes. Please mark luggage clearly with the name of the guest, check-in date, luggage contents and contact information and send it to the following address:

*Please do not include cash, valuables or raw food items in the luggage. Your luggage will be handed to you when you check in. If you would like to have your luggage taken directly to your room, please request so to the front desk before your arrival.

Do you have a delivery service?

Yes, this service is available at the front desk. Packing materials are available.

Are there any shops in the hotel?

There are no shops, but there are various types of vending machines on the second floor.

Is there a space for storing valuables?

Please ask the front desk to safely store cash, jewelry and other valuables.

Is it possible to exchange currency at the hotel?

A machine that can exchange foreign currency is located in the first-floor lobby.

Do you have vending machines and ice dispensers?

There are vending machines and ice dispensers at the second-floor lounge. Alcoholic beverages are also available.

Is there a smoking area?

Yes, please use the smoking areas on the first and second floors. All other areas of the hotel are non-smoking, including vaporizers and e-cigarettes.

Is there a laundry service?

There is no laundry service, but there is a laundromat on the second floor. The front desk can also advise you about nearby laundries.

Do you have a laundromat?

Yes, they are on the second floor.

Do you have a large hot bath?

Yes, the “karaksa Hot Bath" including indoor and outdoor tubs for both men and women is located on the second floor. Hotel guests may use the baths free of charge.

Can I enter the hot baths if I have a tattoo?

As a general rule, guests with tattoos—both traditional and modern styles (including temporary tattoos)—are not allowed to enter the hot baths. Exceptions can be made if the tattoo can be covered by a “tattoo cover sticker” provided by the hotel. Please ask the front desk for more information on the tattoo cover sticker.

Are we allowed to go to the communal area in the slippers provided in the room?

Yes. However, please refrain from entering the restaurant with them.

Is there a massage room?

We are sorry, but there isn't a massage room.

Is internet available throughout the hotel?

Yes, a free Wi-Fi connection is available throughout the hotel.

Can we open the windows in the rooms?

We are sorry, but the windows do not open for safety reasons. Please note that the air vent in the bathroom provides ventilation 24 hours a day.

How do I get to the hotel from New Chitose Airport?

Is there any place nearby for shopping?

There is a convenience store a one-minute walk from the hotel. In addition, the Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade is located directly behind the hotel, and there is an underground shopping street that connects with Sapporo Station. For details, inquire at the front desk.

What tourist attractions are there near the hotel?

Are there any ATMs nearby?

A Seven Bank ATM is available in the convenience store one minutes' walk away. The convenience store and post office have ATMs that accept foreign cards. For details, please ask at the front desk.

Is there a hospital near the hotel?

Sapporo Minami Sanjo Hospital is a one-minute walk from the hotel. For nighttime emergencies, the Sapporo Medical Association Nighttime Emergency Center is located about eight minutes away by car.

Is there a hotel shuttle bus?

We are sorry, we do not provide shuttle bus services. Please click here for directions to the hotel.

Do you have on-site parking?

Other

Is there a curfew?

There is no curfew, however the hotel entrance is locked from 01:00 a.m. to 05:00 a.m. for security reasons. The entrance can be opened using your room key. Alternatively, use the intercom to speak with the hotel staff.

How can we get a rental car?

Please ask at the front desk. We will be happy to recommend you a car rental company.

Which credit cards are accepted at the hotel? Also, can I use electronic money and QR code payments?

We accept VISA, MasterCard, JCB, AMEX, Diners Club, UC, DC, NICOS, UFJ and UnionPay. We also accept electronic money and QR code payments.

What do you do with lost property?

Lost and found items will be handled appropriately in accordance with Japan's Lost Property Act. Please note that food and beverages may be disposed of on the same day for safety and hygiene reasons.

About connecting rooms

Connecting rooms are great options for families and groups. These adjacent rooms are connected by inner doors, allowing guests to move freely back and forth—with the added convenience of two bathrooms. Inner doors can be closed when going to bed.
