The Hamarikyu Gardens date back to Japan's Edo-period (1603–1867), and feature a seawater pond fed by Tokyo bay, and two imperial wild duck ponds. The pond is particularly beautiful as it changes with the tide.
The vast 250,000 ㎡ space features a carefully restored teahouse that Japanese shoguns used to visit, 300-year-old pines, the wild duck spots, and flower gardens always blooming with seasonal flowers like canola flowers in spring and cosmos from summer to fall.
