This beautiful red brick building is a reproduction of the original built by Mitsubishi as the Mitsubishi Ichigokan in 1894. Their collection focuses on the same era as the building, late 19th Century Western art, including Lautrec, Redon, and Vallotton. Special exhibitions are held three times a year.
Inside the museum you’ll find Café 1894, which is a renovated space that was once a bank business chamber, as well as Store 1894, a gift shop, and the Archive Room.
